So I am going to be a better blogger... I hope :)

I have been working a lot around the house and in the studio, and I want to share my creations - but not flood my facebook page.  So here it goes.  Our house refresh projects, whatever stuff I create in the sewing room... and those joys will be on my blog!  I am excited to share my projects :)

Yall have a great day!

Crafty Session Success!

Hi Ya'll! This weekend's crafty session was so fun!
It ended up being a private lesson for Sharon.  She hadn't sewn since Home Ec in High School.  We started with ironing and pinning our fabric and ribbon.

Then Sharon moved the machine and completed the 'trainer'.  The trainer is the off-white scrap of fabric on top of her stack of burp cloths below.  I drew lines on the fabric and let her sew on them so she could get a feel for how the machine ran and how to keep the fabric straight.

We covered machine basics, straight stitch, back stitch and the seam ripper.  We didn't plan on using the seam ripper, but it all worked out :)

It was wonderful to see her light up with confidence and success as she completed the project!  She actually bought a sewing machine this morning!

Here is a pic of Sharon's stack of burp cloths.  They turned out well!
Way to go Sharon!

This weekend we will do an applique tshirt/onesie crafty session.  If you'd like to join us, there will be three spaces available.  The cost is $15 and you supply the tshirt.  I will supply the applique fabric and all of the notions needed to complete the project.

If you have an idea for a crafty session, or would like a one on one lesson, please feel free to email me at sales@margueritebellecrafts.com

Yall have a great day!

Oh Happy Day

I am a big fan of listening to speakers with a positive message .  I have participated in an Andy Stanley bible study a while back (Take it to the Limit).  I just love what he has to say...but yesterday I was poking around on the internet and came across this quote:

“Direction, not intention determines your destination." - Andy Stanley

Thank goodness for direction. Add a little determination and I think this might just end well :)

I am getting the studio ready for the first Crafty Session.  I love this room.  I love the idea that I can see a project from start to finish here.  I can't wait for you to see your projects completed, too.

Dream Big

Happy New Year... or well almost :)
I am so excited to begin the New Year.  I can't wait to serve you this year.

My sweet brother gave me a gift card for Christmas.  I be-bopped over to my favorite craft store and picked up a new picture frame and some vinyl for my wall.  Best of all, he watched the kids while I shopped!

Dream big
Believe in yourself
Imagine the possibilities

Not only is it pretty....its inspiring.  I can't wait to see the possibilities be realized!

The fantastic red picture frame was a gift from my brother as well!  It does make my sewing room more Merry!

So on a sewing note...Check out the most precious little Valentines outfit that I made!
I'd love to make one for you!

Cupids, hearts, love and polka dots.  Oh yea, Ruffles too!  LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I am excited to sew some of these up!

Thanks ya'll!

Gnome, Gnome, Gnome, Merry Christmas!

I made this custom item for a customer who wanted something different for her daughter for a Christmas outfit.  I do love it!

I am going to finish out Christmas orders and then begin making Valentines sets in this style that are ready to ship.

What sizes would you like to see in a ready to ship auction??

I just can't wait!  It will be in a few weeks, but ideas are just swimming around in my head.

Much love, Merry Christmas!
